It is possible to earn 1 Aeroplan mile per dollar for purchases made on Costco.ca.
Regularly, there were even earning promotions: 3x / 4x / 5x the Aeroplan miles. But for several months, we had not seen one (especially during the holiday shopping periods). This suggested bad news.
After April 30, 2020, it will no longer be possible to earn Aeroplan miles for purchases made on costco.ca.

Right now, this is bad news for Aeroplan members, with a partner leaving the program.
However, this is happening in a transition period: we have to let Air Canada launch its new program by mid-year and hope new partners will join it!
Regarding Costco, my opinion is that CIBC and TD Banks (Visa cards issuers) and Visa network, all three Air Canada partners in the Aeroplan acquisition program, saw no interest in this partnership with Costco, which promotes Mastercard credit cards!
