You can redeem 50% fewer points by using the Shopping with pointsfor any travel purchase.

CIBC Aventura Points Redemption Process

All you have to do is:

Book any travel on your credit card
Select the travel purchase in your credit card transactions
Select “Redeem with Points“.

Usually, this option is not very advantageous as it allows you to redeem 8,000 points for a $50 statement credit (a value of 0.625 cents per point – while we value the Aventura point at 1.2 cents):
